My background was not Christian, it was a sort of humanistic nondenominational group called the Ethical Culture Society. As an adult I leaned more towards Buddhism, and then later, Ernest Holme's work that became The Science of Mind/New Thought movement. They teach a specific form of affirmative prayer that I find to be particularly powerful, even until this day. Glad you are sharing about all this stuff!
