Forcing people who might want to bike into shared (dangerous) roads, or into underfunded transit vehicles they can’t trust, or to buy a car and pay to park, is the opposite of fighting congestion.
Basic geometry is not optional. We can’t fit more cars, we just can’t. So downtown needs other options. Why does the province need to override democratically-elected councillors deciding on what makes sense in their city?
