The Ford government doesn’t actually want to “solve” congestion:
🚘 Adding highway lanes, and paving over farmland (which fills up instantly as induced demand means more drivers show up)
🚘 Underfunding transit (so vehicles are full and unreliable)
🚘 Preventing cities from enforcing traffic laws with automated cameras and tickets
🚘 And now, preventing cities from adding bike lanes (which can carry more people than a car lane!)
