She's not actually any happier just because we try to humor her.
Changing the subject or demanding to be centered every time you feel insecure or excluded is not the same as learning to deal with those feelings of insecurity & exclusion.
So...is it understandable that she has this tendency? Absolutely. Is it good for her, me, or anyone else? Absolutely not.
