At this point, both an Irish person & an English person would be treated as "white" in most generalized contexts.

One of them is from a people who were colonized, plundered, & genocided by people from the group the other comes from. So both have some participation in whiteness that requires their attention, but NO, those two people do NOT have the *same* relationship to colonialism.
