There is of course no excuse for burning carbon to run AC anyway.
(1) We've known for thousands of years how to build houses that don't need AC.
(2) In a location where the sun gets hot enough that AC is needed ... then guess what, there's also enough sun to generate the solar electricity needed to run the AC.
