My query rewrite example said nothing about doordash, I didn't say where it came from but it was a B2B company that was trying to help users find the the thing they wanted. I don't see how that's negative, it's a classic example from 80s Xerox PARC: DWIM (do what I mean). While that IS on a server I'd still argue it's a perfect example of a hidden low level use of SLMs at it is simply rewriting the query to help the user get better results. Although I hope it goes without saying that the query rewrite can't be exploited. In my example it was not.
