I do like Ursula Vernon's style, going from funny to serious and whatnot.
These two work way better if you think of them as one doorstopper, I think.
I don't really want to read more books in the same setting, particularly if they have more paladins. Seeing being possessed and used as a tool by a god presented as something good just sends me into negative thought spirals about the evils of Christianity. (You know, queermisia, eugenics, genocide, all that)
