Some might argue that AIS persons are genetically male (they have a Y chromosome), but it takes more than one gene on the Y chromosome to produce male sex traits--it takes multiple nuclear genes also (including the androgen receptor gene). The challenge of sexual identity of these individuals cannot be ignored. But also cannot be taught.
