hah, so, i've been thinking a lot about which mountain region i want to move to in the future, and i had been thinking only of the eastern rockies and southern siberia

but then as i was randomly reminded of yugoslavia by this youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@kuhinjatanja and i was like, yeah, nah, i know where i'm going... i know the language a bit, i know the culture, i know a lot of their history, i know the land is beautiful, it is nice and cold in winter, and it's in a good spot that won't really change much if the projected axis tilt is in the offing

Ben from SO doesn't really talk much about the balkans but the western balkans definitely are a good spot, although a little close to the mediterranean, that is a small body of water compared to the pacific or atlantic, and the western part of the balkans in particular is very high altitude on average

i loved it in Bosnia, so i guess i'm gonna go back there

just instantly as the thought of the basements full of jars of meat and fermented salad and the smell of schlivovitsa comes to mind and i melt

just need money, so, i must work, and stack, and work and stack and work and stack

until i can buy my little mountain plot and build my bunker and plant my plum grove and build my goat fences and goat dairy and chicken coop and all those wonderful things... build up a big collection of important literature, and build a doomsday library

it's my idea of a great way to spend the second act of my play
