Cross-posting this.
Gearing up for a serious fight for our freedom in Canada.

I echo this: Kill Bill C-22.
The lawful access provisions have been waiting in the wings for over 20 years - ever since post 9/11. Someone is always looking for the opportunity to pop these provisions into legislation and expecting to slip it by parliamentarians. I still have faith in democracy, but my faith in the bureaucracy supporting democracy is rapidly diminishing.
What is ironic about these provisions is that they were originally prompted by the reaction to the ‘fentanyl crisis’. I find it almost laughable; it’s a security own-goal - in our eagerness to respond to a so-called crisis by our neighbours to the south, we are willing to giving up our freedom to those who don’t respect our freedom.
To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. To say that I need to be surveilled, ‘just because it is a lack of respect for me as a Canadian.
