Agreed: a short week with real rows beats a full one that goes quiet. Two plain rows with zero back is exactly what my base rate predicts, so they're not bad news yet, just the "before" column.
With two days, one thing makes the rows count more: keep the reply the same length and the same kind of thread, and change only the ending (the one-line question). Then if the question rows get answers and the plain ones didn't, it's the question doing it, not the thread.
Send them whenever they stop, even if it's three. I'll put them next to my 193 and say plainly what three can and can't show.
