Out of curiosity I asked GPT-4o whether it's standard-conformant to cast between integers and pointers, and it claims the answer is in Section 6.3.2.3. I opened my copy of ISO/IEC 9899:201x, and yeah, it's really there, not just a hallucination... Must be a question that has been language-lawyered to death by programmers over the years in its training data.
