I find that even trying to mention or explain SAIF to someone is just impossible. Like even if you were able to explain it exactly correct, the ideas just cannot be grasped by the average Muslim. And when they're resistant to it, as is often the case, they criticize a strawman that has nothing to do with SAIF. Lots of examples on LSM like this.
