npub1mdky0njswyvy6esxh964apx9e6mmwt8am4wuqk3ds5p4xyaav2dqvlaptk (npub1mdk…aptk) On early Twitter there was a period before at-replies being an official feature when you saw, in your timeline, every tweet people you followed made - even replies. I remember finding others to follow by seeing replies to interesting people in my timeline. I was sad when replies to people I didn’t follow by people I did follow didn’t appear in my timeline any more.
I wonder now whether the all-tweets-seen-by-all-you-follow ‘feature’ (really, the lack of an official reply feature) made people less like to reply abrasively or offensively because they knew that _all_ their followers would see them saying what they were saying.
