I honestly thought about going back to the hotel because it was so hot and sticky. The living room window unit and the ceiling fan was really not cutting it. The central air conditioning was calling me.
Then the thunder began to rumble and the clouds moved in and the rains came pouring down. It's about 10° cooler now with a good breeze and I think it'll be okay.
I sat on the front porch and watched the rain and listened to the rumbling and was quite content. There's a waterfall in the mountains across the road hidden in the trees and as the rain slowed I could hear it pouring down.
