Wow. To be fair SMS based 2fa is such a false sense of security, and TOTP is great except that doing customer support for 90 year old clients trying to get help with 10 or so different options is a fucking nightmare. Nobody wants to pick one to be 'officially' supported and the result is that the people who would benefit from the security the most, often with largest balances, are most likely to turn it off entirely if given the choice.
But still, wow.
