One more antkeeping fact: Tap water is mostly fine for pet ants, although with rare ants there might be some exceptions.
It's best to allow water for ants to "de-gass" (just let it sit for a few hours to a day) this seems to make it more appealing to ants.
You should probably allow the water YOU drink to degass too as it tastes a bit better.
