Having said all that, what prompted me to read this article in the first place was the claim that high humidity is a problem in the winter and lowering the humidity in winter is a desirable thing to do.
What's up with that?
Heating _lowers_ humidity. In my experience, the problem during the winter is getting enough humidity into the air, not having too much of it. This is why heating systems often have humidifiers built into them.
Is excess humidity a problem for you in the winter?
