A reminder of the impact of inflation on normal people:
prices are rising (albeit, finally, at a slightly lower level than some wages), and as such, the volume of goods & services are buying remains below levels of two years ago, while what we are paying for them is much higher....
You might say this is what the BoE needs to continue to fight inflation... but the drivers of inflation are not what the Bank focusses on - corporate profits & (Brexit-related) higher import prices
