Mom only needed the GPS to get through the city and onto the highway; then she’d rip it off the dashboard and fling it out the window in a high arc. You see, every time that pleasant voice started speaking, Mom would nearly jump out of her skin. She’d never liked those gadgets—she preferred asking for directions or using a map.
