Old pond
Frog jump in
Water sound
While the author of this work gives us:
Listen! A frog
Jumping into the stillness
Of an ancient pond!
I'm not entirely sure what I think about it. But Japanese is a very contextual language and I think this is a pretty valid way to approach these translations.
