Solano County residents were promised no county taxes would be used for infrastructure. OK, then who is going to pay for it? Well, that would come from state and federal funds. So, we are going to pay as state and federal taxpayers? The answer was that Solano County hasn't received its fair share of taxes, so in paying for this as state and federal taxpayers, we are getting back more of our money that has been going to other places.

The affordable housing issue came down to what consists as a home. Solano County is typical suburban homes - single-family dwellings in the range of $500-700K. The new city was expecting to offer 2 bed/2 bath 1200 square foot apartments for about $450K. Smaller units and floorplans showed a 900 square-foot unit which would be priced in the low $400K. And this was not taking into account HOAs, which would be necessary for building maintenance. Single family dwellings were limited to row houses and no prices were disclosed.

And then we get to governance.
