I know someone who's been a Mastodon user since 2016, and who’s facing her fifth server migration in those nine years. She's lost her post history every time and, facing losing her post history yet again, is weighing whether she has the energy to pursue another server migration or not. That it's even in question whether someone who's been a highly engaged and passionate Mastodon user for nine years would keep using the service or let this be her final account should be a warning sign!
