An update friends:
After the interview, I was told I’d find out on the day.
I then get a text message from the head of department telling me unofficially that I’d got the job but I’ll hear officially on Monday (today).
I’ve not heard anything all day and I’m on the verge of telling them to stuff their job, and I’ll take another offer I’ve received elsewhere 😒
I don’t mind what the outcome is, but I think it’s rude keeping people waiting when a decision would’ve been made on the same day. I need to know so I can plan the next few weeks.
The NHS sometimes really does beggar belief… it has always worked on the assumption that you’re single, have very little financial or family commitment, and are freely mobile without any geographical restrictions either…
