Democracy is an adjective, not a form of government.
What we are given is a very weak form of "representative democracy" (Talking about USA, but you get the point)
Representative dem is the first step to the inevitable rule by oligarchy.
This is great if you are rich and ethnic majority. Even better if you are both.
(Not advocating for dictatorship either for obvious reasons 😬 )
