Interesting ideas. I can see how some specific applications could be more intuitive with base 12 math, but most applications are perfectly intuitive with base 10, and would be made less intuitive if we moved to base 12. They would have to coexist.
It's probably worth exploring. I think you're right that base 12 math could help identify and understand patterns in nature that are currently unrecognized or have awkward inelegant mathematical models applied to them.
Also, as a fractal artist the idea of using a different base math is intriguing.
