I have a cheapy Xiaomi router and was amazed to see OpenWRT installed on it and unlocked VLANS and all sorts of things. Pity OpenWRT can be complex to setup but I was thinking of building a hybrid network on OpenWRT. But that FreeMeshWireless looks interesting.
