The game is to slowly let the morality of society deteriorate, and then from time to time push out one of their lackeys to create a false 'leader' in the eyes of the unsuspecting and uninformed public to look up to as a saviour and a voice of reason. That is politics 101.
The public that hasn't educated themselves enough on how these systems are built and how they really function, and those are the same people, with their degrees, who consider themselves the upper echelons of society, when in reality they are the biggest victims of all of the propaganda. Virtue signalling, which is what these government agencies are doing here, is a means of winning people over in order to support their agenda by making people feel guilty or hateful if they don't support their proposed solution, which in this case is censorship.
The further we get away from reality and truth, the crazier those two things appear when someone is presented with them.
Free speech is only dangerous to those who wish to continue lying to you. That is why they have to appeal to a manufactured consensus, hide behind their credentials, refuse to have any discussions on the topic, and instead silence and even imprison those who oppose them.
What we are witnessing in real-time is the manufacturing of consent for them to do exactly what I am describing here.
