#Matrix's biggest flaw, by far, is the DAG/event graph. It's required to be fully intact at all times, which I do see they're trying to work around with sliding sync, but that's simply not enough. That graph deserves to be broken, old state should be completely deletable, old messages should be too, and STORAGE SPACE SHOULD BE SAVABLE.
