this is a good question what to do with web nowadays. bashing bots takes more and more time and efforts and this becomes frustrating. and evildoers like totalitarian governments try to tear the Internet into pieces which makes it even more difficult with every day lived.
we need a new format of web where bots are impossible proncipally. like distributed peering networks based on trust access, something like old times FIDO. but over network.
Fediverse is a good decentralized solution but it's weak point is public posts in web. and it has no normal means of ACL for cross-server access. one cannot easily share posts across servers and platforms without public access. and this is aa serious security issue. there're some ideas of making tickets systems for such access but it needs realization of such a system on all platforms which is not too probable in the nearest future.
there're quite anonimous and secure networks like RetroShare, ZeroNet, etc. they're pure distributed but protected from possible bots only on trusted nodes level: if some user sllows bots in they will get acces to the whole network public content.
we need even more strong protection with possibility to ban bots everywhere, on every node and cease connection with nodes that allow bots. this is a technically more complicated task. but it's very actual nowadays.
