I've witnessed similar behavior over at Fresh Comics (npub1mku…hlmz). My personal site's been down for a while (unrelated to AI) while I think about what it means to host a website in 2026 and beyond.
Dealing with bots is only one part of the issue. The other is syndicating content in forms that get some traction on networks like these. A third issue is preparing for emerging networks like Reticulum.
I have SOME ideas about how to proceed - looking forward to putting them into use.
