I had already scanned a big tray of chicken thighs and was trying to get it in my bag, but there was stuff in the way, so I pulled that stuff out and was putting the chicken in the bag when they walked up from behind me on the left side. They both made faces of the kind you can imagine you'd make if you're witnessing a crime in progress but you don't know what to do. And that was that. I put my stuff in my bag and went to the vegetable section.
