3/ Since my backpacking and sailing are so technique- and gear-intensive, I take a lot of notes on these (and lots of pics!). Since I spend so much time documenting these trips (especially situation-specific gear and techniques), I spend a LOT of time doing that. And, as I mentioned above, I benefit a lot from the notes on subsequent trips-- building on knowledge from previous trips. Solution: always assess the efficiency of my note-taking, reduce when possible. END
