I am not trying to praise OpenAI or specifically condemn DeepSeek. OpenAI forcibly scraped the collective knowledge of human history and sold it back to us. DeepSeek built off that same theft.
The GPT industry cares very little for ethics, but if you do, and what OpenAI has done ethically bothered you in any way at all, please do not hold DeepSeek in much higher regard.
It's literally turtles all the way down.
