Though I feel that, in context of what I was trying to get at with the blog post, it ends up mostly shifting the goal post. Translation is a creative act, for example, but it's hard to deny the existence of readily available machine translation tools has allowed forms of cross-cultural and cross-lingusitic communication to manifest which would not have been possible were we limtied to human translators.
