Sure, but... big social change happens when there are large external shocks (i.e. the money becoming worthless) AND people know and understand a viable alternative. This is where Bitcoiners collectively talking to their "hot dog stand" owners can make a big difference.

This is Mark Cuban's critique -- why didn't BTC do better in light of the Hormuz blockade? Everyone flocked to gold instead, and a lot of that really just has to do with inertia and media narrative around BTC. That because of the "Red Hat and Orange Tie" brigade, BTC has become either some wonky financial instrument (at best) or BigTrumpCash at worst.
