One forgotten early American tradition that deserves a comeback is the Election Cake.
Back in 1700's United States, elections were social events. You'd cast your ballot (if you were allowed 🙃), hang with your buds, drink a lot, and have a piece of an enormous brandy-soaked spiced cake.
