That's a good tale. They certainly were privileged, the ruling class before the Revolution. It could well be that the whole thing would be more enjoyable on a smaller scale - the sheer size of the real Versailles is just so daunting, and I'm afraid it easily brings out the revolutionary zeal in me 😊.
