hah, i dunno, i was getting maybe 100 reqs and i personally only have some 40 follows so why would i need so many?
anyway, the reason why i put the limit rewriter was that the relay was getting caught looping through finding the results to no avail for no reason... probably an underlying bug i still need to squash
