Try it. Go out and try to convince your non-technical friends that adtech tracking is a weapon in the hands of a malicious government, and convince them to move it high up enough in their priority stack that they displace other concerns to try to stop it. I’ve tried and people nod and tell me how annoying ads are, then they move on. (And frankly, based on past history, they’re being rational and I’m being alarmist.)
