Today is my 18th anniversary of volunteering at Distributed Proofreaders (npub1s5r…nq65)!
I started as a proofreader & developer and I've been the de facto lead developer of the #openSource #PHP-based project for the last ~8 years.
Some contribution highlights: getting the code off PHP 5.3 (removing magic quotes & move to mysqli), moving the project from CVS to git, standardizing our styling, and converting the whole site and data to Unicode. Incredibly proud to have helped contribute over 39k ebooks to [@gutenberg_org](https://mastodon.social/@gutenberg_org )!
