mid 2024 i was pretty burnt out, didn't want to crunch for party deadlines any more, just wanted to quietly noodle with ideas at my own pace
decided i wanted to look at lens emulation to elevate the photorealism in my work, so i went down the lens optics rabbit-hole and built a lens-tracing system
then i decided i wanted to explore filmstock emulation, so i went down another rabbit-hole researching the silver halide photochemical process
from there, it was a pretty short jump to realizing that my learn-by-doing brain would probably benefit from just picking up a film camera and going out shooting
so i did
late 2024 i bought a 35mm slr and went out shooting film for a bit
and now i have an outside hobby and i don't like the computer so much any more
