understandable. However, your desktop has many of these same sensors (microphone, camera, etc). I don't know how much you'd really need to worry about these sensors doing unwanted things on a device that has been mainlined, assuming you trust the apps/programs you have installed. I'd say the average user is fairly safe on a reputable distro & sticking to default repos. A device built with running mobile Linux in mind usually has kill switches to sensors but poor specs on average compared to an Android device that has been mainlined.
