Everytime I am out of full-time work, for a bit, it first feels like it's a vacation. And then I start to notice that everyone and everything around me has been slowly, but dramatically, falling apart. While I was spending all day reviewing project plans and attending important meetings.
Including myself. I was also decaying. I was decaying and I didn't even notice. I just felt tired. So, I drank more coffee. But I was still tired, underneath the coffee.
