I thanked the developer for all their efforts, and reiterated their design was thoughtful, would perform well, and maintained data integrity.

The moderate amount of extra time spent on proper design will likely save them time in the long run and possibly spare them from a "5 o'clock emergency" or a 3am wake up call.
