Dear cybersecurity specialists of the Fediverse, I've recently seen something I did not know existed: **YouTube blocking specific videos based on my WiFi connection?**

So, apparently any WiFi / network can limit **specific** YouTube videos?

Did you know this existed? Have you worked with filters like these before? What could be filtered and what is the reason for these filters to exist?

(*I only noticed because a video of ME by public German television was inaccessible*)

The filtered videos also would just not show up in searches or when looking through an account (*it'd seem as if they didn't exist*). When trying to access them via a link, however, the following error messages appear:
