I don't think I care enough.
Schemes like this feel like a protection racket to me: register here and cough up your phone number/browser user agent/location, or else.
I'm not interested in having a Google account, so my emails land in spam.
I feel this is antithetical to the idea of distributed email. But maybe I live in the past and that ship has sailed.
(Can we include proof of work into the protocol to fight spam? Or at least PGP signatures?)
