"Indigenous" is just "Indians" in gay academic speak.
It's not that this term would care about the individual tribe or something. Its just a fancy way of saying "the natives".
Also note that every place has an "indigenous population" except Europe. But if some browns arrived a day before the first Europeans (or sometimes even later), they have an eternal right to this land because of skin color.
