I have hearing aids and am always sure to wear them when others are around, particularly for the TV as it can be hard to hear words without seeing ppls' lips (yes, deafish ppl all lip read to a certain extent), and I remember the pain of looking after Dad when he had the TV up far too loud, grrrr...
